Well, it turned out that owner number two had fallen for a cute little male pup that was advertised as being up for adoption at the local Humane Society. She had filled out a form, which asked about other pets – AND WHEN THEY HAD LAST VISITED THE YOU KNOW WHO. Well, I ask you - Is this fair? Was I asked if I wanted a brother? No. Was I asked if I wanted to visit Dr. F? No. Of course, we visited him anyway. Owner number one just picked me up, put me in my travel container and drove me to our appointment.
Have you heard the saying, "All's well that ends well"? Dr. F. just looked me over and pronounced me fit, and then he convinced owner number one to buy a book promoting balanced meals for dogs (with very tasty recipes included). Did I ever mention that I'm fed home-cooked (created especially for me) meals? These are NOT table scraps; they're special meals made and frozen just for yours truly. Now we have a new recipe book to provide more variety and balance in my life. YES! ... and the potential sibling? Someone else adopted him before the Humane Society received our form. Did I tell you he was cute? I wish him well in his new home.
