My goodness.. sometimes it seems that a lot of work goes into producing very little. However, some progress has been made – I must keep reminding myself of that! In a few days Millstones will be available from Amazon in paperback – yay! (Interesting process, which had me groaning and gnashing my teeth a few times) So, for those folks who don't have a Kindle – we'd be really chuffed if you bought it! I wonder if people still use that word – 'chuffed'. (I just couldn't think of a better one.)
Also, we added another short story sample on 'The Stories' page – Zumba. We have both spent a fair amount of time in various community centres, and in a variety of fitness endeavours. The story is pure fiction ... Yes, really! I think it has the potential to be expanded, as do most of the other short stories. We've decided that the collection of short stories will be compiled into a book (e book initially) called Humans and Other Creatures.
The Glass is going to be submitted to Amazon, probably in the next week, as a 'novella'. This is a story that even the menfolk might enjoy, and the womenfolk of course. It's quite different – futuristic. (Actually it's not beyond the realm of possibility either - given the way things seem to be going in the world)
One of the other challenges in the past couple of weeks has been how to keep my brains from becoming scrambled in the heat! I don't usually crave cooler weather, but I don't want the computer to melt either.
Just a word or two to the people who have taken the trouble to give us feedback in the last few weeks. It's truly appreciated. Every comment, every email, has so far led us to believe that what we're doing is worthwhile, and that means a lot. We're obviously not going to be everybody's cup of tea, but in our own small way, perhaps we can provide some alternatives to what's out there in the mass market.
18 July. Update:
