Hello
and welcome - glad you dropped by. The picture
is one of Megan with her favorite "Honey" (the little furry
one). She is being her usual shy self - not really seeking attention shall we
say, in fact, actively retreating from it!
However, as we know in this day and age it is important to do a little
promotion if one wants to encourage folks to take a look, or even better, buy,
some of the stories we have to offer. Megan is the one who writes the stories.
(Honey is smart, but not that smart!)

We'd like to share a little of the "Just Good Stories" philosophy - well written stories with beginnings, middles, and ends. No gratuitous violence or steamy sex - sorry. (There's enough of that elsewhere) That's about it really - stories that go well with a nice cup of tea, or coffee, and a comfy chair - the chance to read just for pleasure once in a while.

It all started with this book. It began many years ago... a first full-length novel. Then it was put away and ignored for - well, for quite a few years - while life got busy and somewhat challenging. It was a good story being neglected in the back of a dark closet while life kept changing, until, one day, along came a really good friend who kept nagging Megan to actually DO something with said book. So, eventually, after several kicks in the bum, (of the Universal kind) something was done!
The friend is me - Shirlene - the one who does everything except write the stories. More about me on the page "more about us".
(By the way, all the stories we have to offer will be available on Amazon, Kindle, plus a few other places shortly after).
Anyway, back to Millstones - here's a brief description of the story:
Sometimes it's difficult to move on. The main characters in this story, both past and present, attempt to deal with their individual burdens of alienation, guilt, and regret. Friendship, loyalty, and love are presented as possible answers in their quest. For those who take on the challenge, learning and acknowledging their weaknesses leads to freedom and a greater sense of self-worth.

P.S. If you'd like to read the first page or two of Millstones there's a sample on the page "The Stories" > Millstones.
